A company that launched in 2004, Link Connector has survived over the years and has done quite well. They are not the largest network on the block, but what they lack in numbers, they gain in personable service. They offers the same services as most of the other affiliate networks but they also offer fraud protection. What this means is they reject about 40% of the merchants that apply because they are deemed too risky to do business with. They want to work with the best merchants possible to drive the highest quality for their affiliates. They have reached out to thousands of trustworthy merchants in the past and currently have access to a few hundred. You might be weary of them because you may never have worked with them before but you have you realize that they just dont accept any merchant. They want to give you the best, so they only accept the best. A lot of people would consider that a downside due to the lack of visibility. I see a secret treasure of a network with merchants that are guaranteed to pay! GUARANTEED!@!@!@

If you are looking to develop a relationship with an advertiser, CyberBounty is a great place to go to. The CyberBounty program offers affiliates many benefits including but not limited to the following: Live updated statistics, High Paying Offers, fast payments (on time also), and they are constantly evolving. When I first got on their network back in 2008, they only had a handful of offers to choose from and now they are up above 50. They have a low minimum payout with fast payments that have never disappointed. They use their own system for tracking statistics but its actually not that bad. You can place links from their site almost anywhere on the internet. You can even put links on your Myspace or Facebook page if you have one. Of course you can put banners and links on your blogs or websites and even your ebay listings. The great part is that you can refer friends and make 10% of the revenue that they earn.

If you are looking to get in on the ground floor of a new forum, this is it for you. MyHotelForum is a great place for anyone who is interested in anything from showcasing their hotel site to getting general hotel news. They have some great reading material on the front part of the site also. They have deals and other stuff they are adding to the site in the future which should bring a lot of visitors in. I really like the layout on this site because its very user friendly and will contain lots of information for you to sift through in order to find the best hotel for your adventure or family trip. Here is a quick reference tool if you are looking for ways to promote your hotel site or talk about a hotels on a popular site. This table will show you how popular and well used this forum is. COPEAC is a network that I was with back in the day (2006 haha) when I was first starting out. It was great because they had a wide variety of programs to choose from. The downside that I finally realized after a while is that you have to apply for every program. This is fine, if they would respond to you in a timely manner. This was a problem that I had a few years ago and I recently went through (this morning actually) and started applying to some of the programs they offer, and I still have not heard back from my affiliate manager and she is not online. I am hoping to hear back as soon as possible. This is quite possibly the only downside to the network so now that we have gotten that out of the way, lets look at some of the upsides:

If you can make more than $1000 a week, you can get paid weekly (most networks require at least $5,000 to get paid weekly)
More programs to choose from than most of the networks out there (avg. network has 100+ offers)
Signing up is REALLY easy

They have great tools that you can use when advertising, but on top of that, they have DirectTrack which is probably the most familiar Tracking Software out there. I personally love DirectTrack. I have not gotten used to a whole lot of the other Tracking Systems out there. I feel like its almost ahead of my time haha! I have personally worked with these guys for a while. They are great in almost every way. They have a slight post scrub ratio but I think its just to keep you honest. Other than that I have had nothing but great experiences with these guys. We have made some money together over the past couple of years. They have great offers and great affiliate managers. Their brand new tracking system is really nice. To be honest I really don’t know how you could hate on a network that pays out twice a month. I have been with them for a little over 3 years now and they have never done me wrong. They have always been quick to let me know that they are having problems with traffic or if they need me to step it up in a certain area. They are about as professional as it gets and they also come in on the weekends a lot. Your affiliate manager is almost always available and they get things done quickly. CX Digital Media (Incentaclick) are definitely a powerhouse not to be reckoned with.

So few affiliate networks are giving you the personal touch that a lot of the bigger networks give you these days. That one-on-one feeling you get from the phone calls in the middle of the day from your affiliate manager asking what they can do to help you make more money. Essociate does not do anything of the sort. Start in 1999, you would think they would have some kind of affiliate manager system set up already. There have been several issues in the past with this network including but not limited to: profit shaving (lead shaving), limited options for affiliates, messy approval process with repeated sign-up procedures. I would not recommend this place to anyone but if you are looking for quick on time payments these are your guys. They pay twice a month which is a lot more than most networks can say. The problem with paying twice a month though in this case, is that there is not a whole lot to offer program wise.

Sometimes its not enough to be looking at a spreadsheet in order to determine what your site needs/doesnt need anymore. This is what I like to call “Visual Time” which is where you want to get a visual of the big picture. When you are able to do this, ideas start becoming more clear (at least thats the way it was for me). You can really see where your stronger links are. You can replace them or reorder them accordingly. Its pretty good stuff to be completely honest…and its free for you, so how can you go wrong right? Free stuff is always good. Anyways, just enter your domain name (example: www.tiyoo.com or tiyoo.com) and click the Check! button.

For those who were not alive during the days of non-high speed internet, consider yourselves amongst some of the luckiest people in the world. Back in the day I spent more time yelling at my computer than actually “surfing the web.” It was more like rock climbing. Pages would take 30 seconds to load sometimes and if your website had a hi-def picture on it…forget it, you might as well have put a full fledge movie up because no one is going to wait for it load unless its some dirty pictures of Miley Cyrus haha. You never saw those on sites because the most elaborate graphics we got were scrolling text that blink. Anyways, you may not realize it, but your website could be doing the same thing if you dont watch out. Luckily, I have a great tool that you can use in order to figure out how fast your websites are running:

Thank goodness there are a lot of ways that you can prevent this in the future if your site is running a little slow. Just google “Speed Optimization” or something similiar and I am sure you can find lots of websites specifically giving you steps to improve your websites speed.
